Hi! I’m April and I care.
I produce. I pay attention. I create brands. I call out identity. I craft sentences. I breathe words. I make lots of coffee. My life is like an ice cream party. With twenty-two years of professional experience in Design, Print, Imagery, and Management my hands can tell a lot of stories.
I believe the process of discovery is far underrated. When we are young we discover at such a rapid rate. Inherently, we wonder. Why do we stop? Discovery is the spark of inspiration and innovation. It leads to our greatest developments and achievements.
A story must give life to a vision and make it plain. When you are making that story it's important to have the right conversations. I facilitate clear communication on all projects big and small. We achieve great results most effectively when the message is clear, the receiver gets it, and takes action. Empathizing and connecting with how a person thinks and feels is not optional. The key of success in creating a brand is presenting the answer well. If a brand doesn't convey the message and is not consistent it won’t make sense — it won’t hit the target. It’s our responsibility to ensure the message is strong. It all begins with a conversation.
I prefer to surround myself with people who are smarter than me. I’m often dissatisfied because I'm motivated to achieve what could be the best. It’s far greater to win within a community than alone.

I love my dog. I love to capture light and am an aspiring photographer. I recently purchased a full-frame Canon 6D.
